OUR STORY.
Project OKiBu, short for: "Our Kinabukasan" (Our Future)

Okibu strives to accomplish just duties for the future of our kabayan and for our fellow Filipino diaspora. We are living in an exciting age of self-discovery, exploring our roots as we grow in the UK. Okibu aims to return the favour by watering our roots, showing gratitude to where we came from and helping our motherland, and as well becoming a record for the future Filipino diaspora to learn more about their home country.

We recognise the breadth of opinions and worldviews that exists within our diaspora, and within our broader society, and we actively ensure none is being marginalised for their beliefs. We see each other's values as opportunities to learn from one another.

03. Foster Passion and Excellence to create change-makers
We harness the passion and pride of our kabayan as a catalyst to achieve positive and meaningful change across all scales. We help equip those who join us in our endeavours with the appropriate skills to help them become agents of change for not only the Filipino people and Philippines, but to those around them.
04. Widening Horizons
​We are the ambitious generation that seeks so much about our roots with our own volition. We promote inquisitivity and fearlessness to question the validity of the information we consume, to sufficiently inform our knowledge of all pressing issues.

We acknowledge the presence of inequality in the world and actively seek to challenge these by giving what we can, extending love and compassion to those who need it, and by bringing attention to serious issues.
